Mason, a Seattle startup that offers a hardware-software platform for companies managing device fleets, hired Webb Stevens as its new CEO and John Thimsen as its new CTO.
Stevens is the former COO at Docker and previously held exec roles at Carta, Qualtrics, and Avalara. He replaces current CEO Nancy Xiao, who will become president.
Thimsen is the former CTO of Qualtrics and previously worked at Amazon as a founding member of the Amazon Echo team.
Mason serves customers in healthcare, life sciences, retail, and other verticals. It focuses on data collection use cases, such as clinical trials or remote patient monitoring.
“John and Webb’s decades of enterprise platform experience and leadership expertise scaling transformational companies will take us to new heights, starting with meeting the massive demand for Mason’s products in healthcare,” Xiao said in a statement.
Xiao became CEO in 2021, taking over for her brother, Jim, who founded the company in 2016 and remains at Mason as a partner. Mason raised a $25 million Series A round in 2019.
