Amazon announced Tuesday that it is expanding its Amazon Clinic virtual health care service to all 50 states and Washington, D.C., to help more customers get treatment for a variety of common health conditions.
- Amazon Clinic launched last November in 32 states, connecting customers with third-party telehealth providers 24/7, through Amazon.com and the Amazon mobile app.
- The service helps people get care for more than 30 common health concerns like urinary tract infection, pink eye, and erectile dysfunction, Amazon said in a blog post.
- In addition to message-based consultations in 34 states, Amazon Clinic now supports video visits nationwide.
- Amazon has invested heavily in healthcare over the past several years. The company launched its Amazon Pharmacy service in November 2020, following its $753 million acquisition of prescription-by-mail company PillPack in 2018.
